Bruno Studer has been appointed Professor of Molecular Plant Breeding at the ETH Board meeting end of last week. The new chair will be established together with Agroscope and is supported by a donation of fenaco to the ETH Zurich Foundation. In his new position, Bruno will continue his work on developing breeding processes for forage crops to improve their yield and efficiency, including traditional applications using functional molecular markers as well as new concepts of genomic selection. With their reserach, Bruno and his group contribute to producing animal products more ecologically and economically. The WFSC congratulates Bruno Studer to his appointment and is excited to continue working together.
