Fighting the other greenhouse gas

A new video highlights the findings of an ETH Zurich World Food System Center project looking at the potential of keeping cows alive for longer.

In a short project video, WFSC member and project PI Prof. Michael Kreuzer presents major findings of the LLC project funded through the Mercator Research Program. The project entitled Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Dairy Production Systems based on Longevity and Zero-Concentrate Strategy as Compared to Conventional Systems tackled the problem of high greenhouse gas emissions from livestock systems by looking at the effects of cow age on methane emissions. Watch the video to see what he and his team discovered.
