Event Information: This workshop offers a platform to bring together experts from academics and industry that work on cold-chain and packaging technology for foods. We particularly aim to connect people with different backgrounds and skills so

Public exhibit stand of food systems research, organized by the World Food System Center. Our stand "Nachhaltige Ernährung mit Bits und Bytes" will be outside the UZH main building in a tent.
Event information: Scientifica, or Zürcher Wissenschafttage, occurs every two years at the ETH Zurich and University of Zurich at the end of the summer. The goal of the massive public event is for researchers and educators from the two institutes to present visitors with an overview of their work and share their enthusiasm for science. This year’s theme is “Was Daten verraten.”
The World Food System Center will have an interactive exhibit focusing on the influx of data from information and communication technology in agriculture. From production in the field to our choices in the grocery market, digital technology is changing the food system. Come visit our exhibit to learn more!

Workshop: Animal Feed Production from Biowastes: A roadmap for research on insect based feed

Event Information: The workshop will present state of the art of research on processing of biowastes with the black solider fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) into animal protein and will explore the research priorities moving forward. Come vist the exhibit to learn more about the influence of Swiss agriculture on climate change and biodiversity.
WFSC Annual Symposium

Event Information: This public research symposium highlights the research that the World Food System Center WFS Grants programs support as well other food system relevant research conducted by our members and their groups at ETH Zurich, Agroscope, and Eawag. The symposium features oral presentations and a poster session.

WFS Summer School: Food Systems in Transition

The 2018 summer school will take place in Abidjan, Bouaké, and a number of field sites.This immersion learning experience integrates lectures, group work, case studies, workshops, field work, excursions, and includes guest speakers and evening social and cultural activities.
