Jeanne joined the World Food System Center in December 2016 as Communications and Outreach Manager. At the Center, Jeanne is responsible for a variety of communication products including the Center website and news channel, research fact sheets, reports, newsletters, and social media channels. She provides outreach and communication support for Special Research Collaborations and leads numerous outreach activities hosted by the Center, including the annual Food Day @ETH. She further coordinates various Center Research Programs and collaborations.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at M.I.T., Jeanne worked in pharmaceutical production before earning her doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering and Science at Stanford University. Her research focused on remediation of pollutants in water and sediment. Moving to Switzerland, she completed a postdoctoral research position in environmental chemistry at ETH Zurich with Prof. René Schwarzenbach. Jeanne then transitioned into a science communication role at ETH, with a joint position as the Science Editor and General Manager of the 2016 edition of the graduate level textbook Environmental Organic Chemistry and the Outreach Coordinator for the Environmental Chemistry group of Prof. Kristopher McNeill. In 2021, she completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
