WFSC Hosting SFIAR Award Ceremony and Public Discussion

The WFSC is excited to host the SFIAR award program on 15 December at 16:15-18:30 in the ETH Zurich Main Building (HG D1.1). This year’s award will be presented to Gina Garland from the Sustainable Agroecosystems group for her work on maize-pigeon pea intercropping in Malawi. Please come join us for an interesting program focused on innovative research in developing and transition countries.

The Swiss Forum for International Agricultural Research (SFIAR) will hold an award ceremony and public discussion, hosted by the WFSC. Gina Garland, doctoral student in the Sustainable Agroecosystems group of WFSC member Prof. Dr. Johan Six, will receive the annual award for graduates and scientists working in agricultural research for development. The event also hosts Keynote speaker Prof. Paul R. van Gardingen and a panel discussion, both focused on how to design meaningful research for smallholders in developing countries. All are welcome to this public event.
